Last week’s assignment was a Watercolor and Pastel Castle!
Here is your slideshow:
This week our art project is going to be all about sunflowers! You can click the painting above and you will be able to view it larger. Take some time to enjoy the style of Gauguin noting the colors, the brushstrokes, and the objects you can see in the painting.
Summer Art Plans Assignment #2 – Oil Pastel Sunflowers
Due Monday, July 1, 2013.
Again we are going to be inspired by Deep Space Sparkle but this time using her Van Gogh Sunflower Art Lesson in Oil Pastel.
You can Google “images of sunflowers for painting” and you will find lots of inspiration if you don’t have a sunflower to view in real life. Place your sunflower in an interesting place and sketch it with oil pastels. You can use this tutorial if you would like: How To Draw A Sunflower.
- Pastel or drawing paper
- Oil pastels
All artists are welcome and there is no need to sign up. Send in your artwork in jpg format to: email@example.com by Monday, July 1, 2013 and I will include them in Tuesday’s slideshow.
