One of our most treasured records of homeschooling is our Art and Music Binder. This binder holds all of our high school artist and composer studies. Page by page we filled this binder up with powerful thoughts and meaningful facts.
We take a three ring binder and use tabs to mark the following sections:
- Artists – artist biography notebook pages, art period notebook pages, samples of art styles that they created
- Composers-composer notebook pages, pages with lists of musical pieces listened to and studied
- Coloring Pages
We used one binder for all four years of high school, adding to it each year.
We used the binders with the clear view fronts so artwork can be displayed and changed easily.
Behind the artists tab, you can use sheet protectors to store any artwork.
Our coloring pages are from Dover Publications...so many artists and art themes to choose from.
We used a variety of sources for our notebooking pages and the great thing about using a binder system is that you can just add each page under the appropriate tab no matter where you printed it from. We of course used pages from Harmony Fine Arts (both in my ebooks and from freebies) and NotebookingPages.com.
