Music Appreciation Monday- Franz Schubert

Music Monday on Harmony Fine Arts Join us every Monday for a new musical selection.

I enjoy listening to Franz Schubert in my free time and I find his style very easy for even beginning music appreciation students. Listen to this week’s piece and make sure you identify the three instruments in the trio for your children. How knows? Maybe they will be inspired to take up that instrument in the future!

Listen to this piece this week: Trio op 100 Andante con moto

This composer is featured in Harmony Fine Arts grade 1 plans and inĀ  Harmony Fine Arts grade 6 plans if you would like to listen to more Schubert.

Music Appreciation Monday – Flute

Music Monday on Harmony Fine Arts Join us every Monday for a new musical selection.

Music Appreciation Monday – Featuring the flute this week!

Flute – James Galaway Playing Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata (2 and 3 movements)

I love the sound of the flute and this video selection will allow you to see one of the world’s foremost flute players perform a selection from Schubert. It is a little longer than my normal featured piece but well worth the time invested. I hope you enjoy!

If you would like to learn more about specific instruments of the orchestra, my Harmony Fine Arts Grade 5 plans have a complete year of instrument study along with an introduction to popular classical composers. Please take minute to pop over and download the sample and resource list to see if this year plan would help organize a year’s worth of music appreciation for your family.
