Last week I shared how I am preparing for a trip to the Intimate Impressionism exhibit at the Legion of Honor.
I would love to share some simple links for you to learn a little more about Edgar Degas.
Art in the Picture:Degas – Make sure to preview this site before sharing with your children for appropriateness of the paintings.
Use the notebook page below to create a simple record of your study. I am studying the painting shown on the notebook page: Self Portrait 1863.
Look at your local public library for any children’s books on Degas. Share a little of the history of impressionism with them as well. I really like this book if you want to go deeper:Monet and the Impressionists for Kids: Their Lives and Ideas, 21 Activities (For Kids series)
Here is the schedule of artists planned in this series:

Week 2: Claude Monet
Week 3: Paul Gauguin
Week 4: Pierre August Renoir
