This week we will revisit a composer that many of us are familiar with and associate with so many of our favorite movies of all time. Jurassic Park (scares me every time!) has such a beautiful musical score written by John Williams. I picked a video that shows him actually conducting this theme. Also, the glimpse into the many instruments of the orchestral will be of interest to your children as well.
It is always fun to try to “conduct” while you listen. Encourage your children to get up and feel the music and conduct it…see if their arms can hold out for the entire piece of music!
John Williams – Theme from Jurassic Park
This composer is featured in Harmony Fine Arts grade 3 plans if your family decides you enjoy listening to John Williams. (My boys love his music ….the energy and bold sounds are sure to be a hit with your children too.)
